How we work
Committee
ARQRV has a committee that meets monthly to discuss issues identified by members. Committee members are volunteers who are residents of a retirement village. Other than reimbursement for expenses, they are not paid any salary or fee for the work they do.
The committee is structured around a range of portfolios that cover different aspects of the retirement living industry and life in retirement villages. Each portfolio has its own subcommittee comprised of members with an interest or expertise in that area.
Subcommittees
Each portfolio of the committee is supported by its own subcommittee comprised of members with an interest or expertise in that area.
The committee and subcommittees are structured around a range of portfolios that cover different aspects of the retirement living industry and life in retirement villages and specific requirements of the association, for example in-house IT, village constitutions, village insurance and village budget.
Members of sub-committees are engaged in an unpaid capacity other than reimbursement for expenses.
Contact the committee if you would like to assist ARQRV by expressing an interest or to find out more about subcommittees.
Membership support officer
ARQRV aims to provide representation in every retirement village in Queensland through membership support officers. Membership support officers promote the ARQRV within their village and assist the association by collecting membership application and fees from the residents in their village, and referring members to the committee who are experiencing issues with the scheme operator.
